pleasure boats ahead
traversing through Puget Sound
on a not so stormy day
airwaves transport the laughters
young and old enjoy the ride
|
between the mountains
great fishing in Puget Sound
migrating salmons
are filling the waterways
and price for salmon goes down
|
large blobs of seaweed
on the shores of Puget Sound
coastal foraging
dinner is abundantly
unless the roots are pulled out
|
diverse scenic views
a delight of Puget Sound
during all seasons
I want to explore this site
despite its Ring of Fire
|
paradise close by
Puget Sound for everyone
a place to enjoy
its beauty is inspiring
I’ll return later for more
|
no day seems the same
on the shores of Puget Sound
young and old rejoice
while age and fame have no say
in the midst of enjoyment
|
a hot day in May
and people are picnicking
along Puget Sound
where a cool breeze takes away
sweat and tears from hard labor
|
laughing out of joy
my laughter rings in my ears
I don’t want to stop
but changes are everywhere
sorrows are overwhelming
|
fear knocks on my door
which starts to constrict my heart,
but my thoughts parade
to a different drumbeat
and I change reality
|
thoughts of a doggie,
walking next to its owner,
kept on a short leash:
my time is shorter than yours,
but I’m the boss in your life
|
a cactus covered
with thorns holds in its center
a fruit, tough and sharp
from the outside but beneath
the skin is juicy and sweet
|
versatile suckers,
the unwelcome parasites,
who enter your life
at any opportune time
are challenging your kindness
|
overcome by fear
which I cannot face without
helpers of my mind
telling myself of a life
beyond this poor existence
|
the sun breaks through and
another day of warmth and
light surrounds me
while I’m all alone without
sharing with another soul
|
heavy downpours batter
streets and fill empty holes
which are a nuisance
for city walkers gazing
at a merciless sky
|
shock and awe
after expulsion
of mother’s womb
repeats itself over and over
through different scenarios
|
clouds passing by
with million tons of water
locked-in to be released
at an area where
tears of joy may arise
|
guarded well
the water rolls on
through heaven and earth
it comes and goes
sometimes silently, often not
|
lonely days
were plenty around
during my early years
they actually just multiplied
in the years to come
